Are there any organic ways to clean stairway carpets?

My mom is trying to find an organic mix to put together and clean the stairway carpet so we’re not using so much chemicals. Please let me know what kind of materials we could buy or any household supplies that one might already have.

White Vinegar is a great household cleaner. I have removed stains with white vinegar and a damp rag on carpeting. I use a vinegar and little dish detergent in a bucket with warm water to wash windows, chrome, ceramic tiles, and more. Also it can be used when washing laundry. Hope this helped..
