Why Use organic hair products and organic skin products?
Organic hair products and organic skin products can eliminate the amount of harmful toxins that our bodies are consuming through our scalp, hair and skin. Some of these chemicals come from products such as:
Mineral Oil which by definition is a by-product in the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline and other petroleum based products from crude oil. Which is used as an alternative to expensive oils and has been noted to the cause of acne. The properties of mineral oil act like a protective barrier, so your hair or skin does absorb the actually properties of the other ingredients of the product. Think along the lines of Vaseline.
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) – is an anionic surfactant and (Sodium Laureate Sulfate) – a less harsh version of SLS. This ingredient is similar to that of a detergent and removes oils from the skin. It can be harmful to the skin and cause skin problems (dermatitis). Although some people may be more at risk than others.
These are just some of the products that are in your daily products that we all use such as shampoos, conditioners, makeup, toothpaste, lipstick, facial products the list goes on and on. That is why it is important to know what we are putting onto and into our bodies.
The best way to gain knowledge is to read the ingredients in of the product, if the ingredients sound like you are at a pharmacy then the product probably contains to many toxins.
In an effort to protect their hair, skin, nails from these harmful chemicals, a lot of people have begun to switch to organic hair products as well as organic skin products. Now some of these of products can also be marketed as organic or natural and this is because some of these products are calling themselves organic hair products or organic skin products but they also have synthetic ingredients as well, mainly used as preservatives and those are mostly parabens.
Organic products can still caused allergic reactions, so if you are allergic to certain plant based ingredients please be aware. Since real organic hair and skin products are plant based it is important to stay informed of the product that you are choosing to use.
As long as you do your due diligence, we believe that you will find that organic hair product or organic skin product that will work wonders for your hair and skin.
