Question beeswax?

Is there a difference between bee? I had some from Joann fabrics (before I really pure and organic stuff). Whenever I use it makes me body butters and perfumes, etc. really hard. It hardens back to what it was Before I melted and mixed with other ingredients. I tried a few different recipes and it always turns the same thing. Should I get Beeswax different? Is it fair that I wax melt? Am I using to much? I follow recipes. Please help! Thank you in advance!
