Do you measure organic sugar as refined sugar in a cake recipe?

I want to replace the organic sugar for regular white sugar a recipe for a zucchini and oatmeal cookie recipe.

The organic sugar is the same as refined sugar, there is simply no pesticides. I always use less (1 / 2 the amount called for in most recipes) and find it rarely affects the taste, sometimes I do add a little more. We also found that if you are canning a lot of sugar, etc., it is cheaper to buy organic sugar from a food factory organic. It comes in bags of 50 # (which we split with few neighbors), but is about 39cents per pound.
