choice organic teas

Why do we have to have organic eating, why can’t things just be made natural as they should?
I don’t understand why people should have to go through the trouble of eating organically. When will the food industry make it so that producers had to use natural ingredients and such which aren’t detrimental to the health of human beings? Now, I have to say, I do my fare share of bad eating, and it’s not by choice. Even the green tea I buy has high fructose corn syrup, unless I make it at home. But why not add sugar, unbleached sugar that is. I’m just frustrated I can’t really get out all my opinions right, but the more I think about it, the angrier I get that the food industry doesn’t have stricter policies as to what goes into the foods we eat. There needs to be more regulation! But what can be done about it? Intelligent answers please…if you bother.
First realize there is a revolving door between the USDA and FDA and the big chemical corps such as Monsanto (which brings us GMO crops and rBGH among other nasty things). these corps are making a lot of money from creating and selling the public bad chemical food. they manipulate the government to give the huge subsidies to keep things like high fructose corn syrup incredibly cheap so companies that make food products will use it instead of sugar (which costs at present about 4x more than HFCS)
Also know that the vast majority of Americans are incredibly ignorant about food. Most have zero idea how it is grown or processed, they just want it cheap, sweet and salty and lots of it. this is useful for the food corporations as they can easily control the food supply and feed the masses unhealthy crap when the masses don’t know or care what they eat.
organic is quickly going down the same road as the rest of the foods. The big corporations are taking more and more control over USDA organics and they realize that the vast majority of folks who buy organic foods know next to nothing about what makes food organic so they are continually pressuring the USDA NOP to change and weaken the rules.
The only thing to do learn about how food is grown and processed, grow as much food as possible your self and buy locally direct from farmers and do the processing yourself. Read lables and avoid GMO’s, HFCS, Nutrasweet, hydrogentaed oils, MSG and artificial colorings like the plague, otherwise you will be eating things you don’t want in your body. That is what I have been doing the past 14 years or so and I am much healthier today than I was back than.
the other thing you can do is educate others and get active-write the government and tell them you are not happy about how the FDA and USDA are being run. There are many web based orgs that send petitions to these entities about how our food is treated and regulated Food and Water Watch is one as is http://www.organicconsumers.org
Don’t give the big corporations control over what you put in your body-take it back!
